Terms and Conditions
All goods remain the property of ADAMS ELECTRICAL RETAIL LIMITED until paid in full.
All Special Orders will require full payment. We do not have a full returns policy. All items ordered or ordered in error by the customer are at the manager’s discretion and will result in a 30% re-stock fee on cancelled orders.
Any WET APPLIANCES and COOKERS supplied, connected and subsequently used by the customer/and or the guarantees have already been registered, then NO TAKE-BACK, OR REFUND will be offered. ALL other appliances will be at the discretion of the manager.
Dates given are approximate from the manufacturers and are beyond our control.
All products are supplied with a 12-month guarantee unless otherwise stated. The customer must register all guarantees. Also to qualify for any extended guarantees or promotions it will be the customers’ responsibility to notify the manufacturers or their agents. All manufacturers require date of purchase, a copy of customer’s invoice, serial and product numbers.
All items sold are for domestic use only. Any appliance used commercially will not have a valid warranty unless otherwise specified. All guarantee work is carried out by the manufacturers and not by ADAMS LTD.
Delivery and Installation
We aim to deliver your appliance to you at the agreed time, but withhold the right to alter the time. If it is necessary for us to change this time we will endeavour to contact you whenever possible to arrange an alternative delivery time.
A safe and suitable access for delivery is the customer’s responsibility, please check that your appliance will fit through your doors or stairs.
Installation of appliances fitted to a water supply i.e. All Wet Appliances and plumbed fridge/freezers is the customer’s responsibility to check all plumbing connections after 24 hours. If you do have a leak turn off the water supply to the appliance and we will check our installation at our earliest convenience.
We are not plumbers or electricians. There may be a charge if found that the leak is not due to our installation. We will only fit appliances if the quarter turn taps are free and complete.
We will only install gas appliances that must comply to the latest gas regulations i.e. bayonet fitting, appropriate ventilation and pipework. All Gas and Electrical work required (Gas Safe/ Part P) will be carried out via our appointed “Third Party Installers” at an additional charge. A certificate can be provided on request.
We are not responsible for outside engineers, plumbers or kitchen fitters that we may recommend – these tradesmen require their own Public Liability.
Our employees and representatives will take all due care to avoid damage to your property during your delivery and installation of appliances, any damage to flooring and surrounding furniture when carrying out our delivery, installation and removal of old appliances, will need to be notified to the store manager within 48 hours, providing details and any supporting photo’s. All such claims will be handled through our appointed Insurance agent.
Recycling old products
We are able to recycle your old appliances and electrical goods. Alternatively, we can arrange to take back your old product when we deliver the new one, and for this service we charge a waste fee per WEEE item collected. (Ask In-store for list of charges.)
To remind you that your old electrical equipment can be recycled, it is now marked with a crossed out wheeled bin symbol (see below). Please do not throw any electrical equipment in your bin.
Many electrical items can be repaired or recycled, saving natural resources and the environment. If you do not recycle, electrical equipment will end up in landfill where hazardous substances will leak out and cause soil and water contamination- harming wildlife and also human health.
